Getting started

Mp3 Filter is profile driven. Each profile has differents settings. You will probably have to create new profiles to fit Mp3 Filter to your needs, but for now, let's make a quick scan.

• Mp3 Filter comes with a default profile called "quick_scan". select it.
• Click on Run Profile.
• A directory selection window will pop. Select the directory containing your media files.
• Click OK.
• Wait for Mp3 Filter to be finished scanning your directory and enjoy the funny blue runner.
• The scan results window will pop. It will display the duplicates Mp3 Filter found.
• Carefully verify that each file flagged as dupe if effectively a dupe.
• Check files you effectively consider as dupe.
• Click on the "Delete" button.
• Confirm your desire to annihilate (recycle in fact) checked files.
• Click on "Close Window".
• Enjoy a cleaner music collection.
• (optional) Open a beer.

Great! You're now an apprentice (optionnally drunk) Mp3 Filter user. You can now start to create your own profiles.
