ChartSVG examplesFirst of all, please note that you need a SVG viewer to visualize a SVG file. When I created ChartSVG, the SVG support in browsers sucked for most browsers. Therefore, I developed it using Adobe SVG viewer to visualize the charts. Now, Opera support for SVG is quite good (I don't know about Firefox, I haven't ran it for quite some time now, way too RAM hungry!), but there are some little quirks (Whether it's in Opera or in ChartSVG, I don't know.). Thus, these charts are best viewed in the Adobe viewer. The bar chart below has been rendered from this XML file. And this one below has been rendered a slightly modified version of the bar chart file. And this one below has been rendered a another modified version of the bar chart file. As stated earlier, SVG is quite scalable. You can see both bar chart, line chart and pie chart full screen without seeing glitches as you would if you would zoom on a compressed image like JPEG or GIF or PNG. Besides, both charts are about 5K. |
